Daily Thought: Christmas Feelings
July 28, 2017

I still have my artificial small Christmas trees up. I just enjoy looking at them and they give me happiness. Thinking of God Almighty coming to earth as an infant and trying to save us from our sins is just so amazing to me. Jesus grew up and taught and tried to explain to people the errors of their ways. He healed and did so many other things. God incarnate came to earth to save us. He died on the cross and then was raised three days later. That is love beyond anything. If you think you are not loved, believe me you are loved. You are loved by God. Jesus Christ loves you so much and wants you to move past sin, to ask for your sins to be forgiven, to accept him as your Savior, and to treat others well. Even if you feel a lack of love from people on earth, you have the best friend you could ever imagine in Heaven in Jesus Christ.

Caring for Others  July 21, 2017

Many people care for others.  It may be your children or grandchildren.  It may be your parents.  It may be one of many situations.  Helping people and caring for people can be difficult.  It can cause financial issues, problems with a job (for example if the person is sick often), may prevent you from traveling or a host of other issues.  But, caring for another person is a wonderful and beautiful thing.  Yes, it can be difficult at times.  However, caring for others is not only the right and moral thing to do, it is what God Almighty would want us to do.  We read, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”  (NIV James 1:27).  We all know the command that Jesus gave to his disciples, “A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”  (NIV John 13:34).  There are way to love another person.  It may be to care for them, it may be moral support, it may be financial help, or a host of other things.

Joy of Knowing God  July 22, 2017

Times can get tough for everybody.  Things can just happen even if everything seems to be going well.  There is a peace of heart and mind that goes with having Jesus in your life.  No matter where you are you can pray.  You can pray silently at work or in a store.  You can pray anywhere.  Just knowing that the Lord of Lords and the Savior is there is such a joyous feeling when you are down.  We read, “But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy.  Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.  Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.”  (NIV Psalm 5:11-12).  It is a joy to have Jesus in you life.  You can go with prayers asking for help and guidance.  You can go and ask that your sins be forgiven.

Depression  July 27, 2017

Well, I haven’t been updating my site. I was hit with serious depression and anxiety. There were some incidents that did help to precipitate the condition. But, when you have these conditions on a chronic basis, they can come at anytime. I have prayed at times. At other times I have not been able to pray. I tried reading the Word, and then at other times I felt unable. It is really an awful thing to have something like this on a long term basis. It can be a real challenge at times. But, I have it and will deal with it. Part of the reason I write this is for others out there who may be challenged with the same conditions. Sometimes it helps to know you are not alone. To know that someone else can suffer to the point where they really have problems just getting through the day. You are not alone with other people. But, you are also not alone with God. Always try to remember that for we know what the Lord does, "He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand." (NIV Psalm 40:2).  Just always think and know that God is there for you. There are people for you to out there.

Dr. Bryant is a graduate of the University of Sedona.  You can find a link to their programs here:

2017 Archives of Daily Thoughts
Consider who you may be able to help today!!  It could be something very simple such as simply listening to a person.  You could pray with a person or say a prayer for them.  There are so many possible ways to help!!!

If you don’t have Jesus in your life or if you are only part way there, invite Jesus into your heart and into your life today.  Study the Word, pray, and ask that your sins be forgiven.  It will impart to you such a feeling of joy!!!

They may not even people you know but there are pastors, fellow church members, social workers, physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and even calling 911 if you are in an emergency state. God cares and I can assure you that there are people out there who care also.
